Restored and colorized portrait
Here is my relative again, recently widowed, in a 1920 portrait. Both the B&W and colorized photo tells a story. Colorization needs to be subtle and realistic.
B&W photos from the 1900’s to the 1950’s are usually in fair to good condition for restoration, Tears, staining, some discoloration and cracks are common but easily repaired.
A classic restoration in B&W can be very dramatic. Sepia tones can be added back to give a vintage feel.
Colorization really brings out human spirit of your subject, note the impact on the eyes.
